Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The purpose of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry site is to assist the Chamber in serving Nebraska businesses by promoting a responsive government and economic growth. The State Chamber is the instrument through which business leaders can express their needs and seek sound, workable solutions to their common problems.
Community Non-profit Loans
Community Non-profit Loans are designed to assist new and existing 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations to fund operations and programs at zero percent interest. They are available in amounts from $1,000 to $20,000 with a term from 1 to 3 years. Funds may be used for operations, purchase of equipment and building repairs.

Employment Solutions – Assistive Technology Partnership
Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) is here to help you find appropriate, cost effective equipment that can make a difference when hiring new employees and help you retain current employees as they age or experience a disability. ATP can also loan you equipment to help employees return to work after an injury or illness. It works closely with Nebraska VR and helps to make your employees successful on the job by assessing job sites and making recommendations on equipment and adaptations that will meet the employee’s needs.

The Customized Job Training (CJT) grant program provides assistance for employee training to businesses that create or retain quality jobs in Nebraska.
Through this program, employees with disabilities can gain the skills needed to get a job and successfully advance in their career.

Nebraska Enterprise Fund
The Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury, CDFI Fund. NEF provides direct loans to start-up and existing micro /small businesses across Nebraska. NEF works collaboratively with lending organizations and banks to assist in filling financial gaps for businesses. NEF has long been a supporter (loans and grants) of programs in Nebraska that provide training, technical assistance and/or loan services to micro businesses.
Proceeds from this fund could possibly generate employment opportunities for job seekers who have disabilities.

Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)
The Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation helps people with disabilities prepare for, find, and keep jobs. It also helps businesses recruit, train, and retain employees with disabilities. Through this "dual client" approach, it assists individuals with injuries, illness, or impairments achieve competitive employment and increased independence. It also assists business owners and employers through full service business consultation on a variety of business and disability-related areas.

Rural Development Advantage
The Rural Development Advantage provides qualified businesses with refundable tax incentives for projects that create 2 new jobs and invest $125,000 in counties with less than 15,000 residents. Tele-workers count as new employees. In addition, the $250,000-investment and 5-job thresholds remain in place for counties with populations 15,000-25,000.
This program counts tele-workers as new employees. Tele-working is a way in which an employee can work for a business by working at a location other than a traditional office setting. This is a viable employment alternative for someone with a severe disability. Using technology like computers, telephones and fax machines, a disabled person can work from home (or another location) and not be troubled with obstacles that might prevent him/her from working in an office.

Rural Enterprise Assistance Project’s Loan Program (REAP)
Rural Enterprise Assistance Project’s loans are available to qualifying members. Loan products range from $10,000 and less up to $50,000.
Capital from a Rural Enterprise Assistance Project’s loan can be used to establish jobs for people with disabilities in Nebraska’s rural communities.

Site & Building Development Fund
The objective of the Site and Building Development Fund is to enhance the economic development of the state and to provide for the general prosperity by creating conditions favorable to improving the industrial readiness of the state. This can be achieved with the following activities: land and building acquisition; building construction or rehabilitation; site preparation; infrastructure development and improvements; engineering and design costs; technical assistance and planning; and other endeavors necessary for the development of industrial-ready sites and buildings.
A business can use this fund to purchase a property that is ADA compliant, enabling more workers with disabilities to be employed at that site.

Small / Micro Business Financing
In 2010, the Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) began formalizing policies to help fill loan capital gaps to micro businesses throughout Nebraska with the use of direct and collaborative loan products. NEF works in participation with other lenders and programs, whenever possible, to fill financing gaps for businesses.
